…wait, who-whaa!? He’s the creator of Grandia, a well-loved Japanese RPG franchise that Square Enix — after getting the publishing rights or so I heard — decided to completely ignore in this generation. Sad because he was only 45 years old.
Fans will miss him. Heck, I’ll miss him because Grandia (the very first one) was a freakin’ masterpiece (the sequels were alright) and it’s dumb that we’ll probably never get more games because Squenix is being a tool, generally speaking. If you wanna experience the closest things to a Castle in the Sky (Laputa) RPG, Grandia is your ticket. Play it!
